Within the framework of the comprehensive development plan led by Mr. Hisham Nour El-Din, Chairman and Managing Director, Misr Fertilizer Production Company (MOPCO) received the Leadership Award in Energy Management from the Clean Energy Administration (CEM), as a result of the company's management support for the concept of continuous improvement in the areas of efficiency Energy use, which is considered one of the most effective ways to reduce production costs and maximize profits, believing that sustainable energy is a prerequisite for achieving economic development and growth, and MOPCO is considered one of the first companies that took the initiative to implement the energy management system.

 Whereas, the Council of Clean Energy Ministers (CEM) is a high-level global forum with a membership of 25 countries and the European Union: “Argentina, Australia, Canada, Chile, China, Denmark, the European Commission, Germany, India, Indonesia, Japan, Mexico, the Republic of Korea, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, the United Arab Emirates and the United States.” This is to promote policies and programs that develop clean energy technology, to exchange lessons learned and best practices, and to encourage the transition to the global clean energy economy.
