At the closing of the Damietta 2024 Festival, which achieved notable success in promoting the city as a distinctive historical and commercial hub, Dr. Ayman Al-Shihaby, Governor of Damietta, presented a shield of the governorate to the Egypt Fertilizer Production Company (Mopco), in recognition of its significant contribution as a strategic sponsor of the festival.

This recognition took place during a meeting between the Governor of Damietta, the Vice President of Mopco, and the Assistant Vice President for Government Relations and Corporate Social Responsibility. The Governor commended the success of the festival in its current edition, under the theme "Damietta is Something Different," which played a pivotal role in promoting the city’s historical and cultural assets, helping to strengthen its position and attract more investments and partnerships. He also highlighted the ongoing efforts of Mopco in supporting community activities and developmental projects within the governorate.
