As part of his efforts to enhance investment and develop the industrial sector, Dr. Ayman Al-Shihabi, Governor of Damietta, conducted an inspection tour of the Egypt Fertilizer Production Company "Mopco" factory to review the latest developments in the industrial projects. He was welcomed by Engineer Ahmed Mahmoud El-Sayed, Chairman and Managing Director of the company.
During the visit, Engineer Ahmed Mahmoud presented the company’s future expansion plans. The governor also toured the newly developed modern electronic control center at the factory, which allows remote monitoring and management of all production operations using global technologies to ensure operational efficiency.
The governor praised the large production lines, which have made "Mopco" one of the leading companies in the global fertilizer manufacturing industry. He highlighted the company's significant role in meeting the needs of both the local and international markets. He also noted its active participation in community service and support for developmental projects benefiting the people of the governorate. Notable projects include the restoration and development of the historic Damietta Bridge, as well as improving the infrastructure of "Abbas Zahir" School in Sananiya. He expressed his hope for further cooperation to support various sectors in the future.
