The ISO 26000 certification provides a comprehensive framework to help companies effectively adopt social responsibility practices and offers numerous advantages and benefits to certified companies, including improving their public image, enhancing ethical practices, increasing investment, improving stakeholder relationships, and fostering innovation. It is considered an international guiding document that provides guidelines for social responsibility and aims to assist companies and organizations in improving their social practices voluntarily to achieve sustainability and provide maximum benefit to the surrounding community.

Misr Fertilizers Production Company (MOPCO) received the ISO 26000 "International Standard for Social Responsibility" certification in February 2025, becoming the first fertilizer company to receive this accreditation and one of the few institutions in the oil and gas sector to do so.

In just the past year, the company invested over 40 million Egyptian pounds in various social responsibility projects, focusing on strategic areas such as education, health, the environment, sports, and community development. These initiatives have contributed to improving the lives of thousands of citizens and enhancing the surrounding community.
